How to use the tool
Character limits are guardrails, not the strategy. Start with the words your audience uses, make the promise specific, and then check that the title, subtitle, keywords, and screenshots tell the same story.
Use the name and short fields to make the app category and benefit clear quickly.
Remove repeats and avoid competitor names, unsupported claims, and terms unrelated to the product.
Carry the strongest promise into the first screenshot so search intent and the product page agree.
Review the full listing, screenshots, icon, localization, and launch plan.
Open checklist →Turn a clear product promise into a polished screenshot sequence.
Create visuals →Validate common App Store and Google Play image dimensions locally.
Check dimensions →Limits can change. Check the official documentation before submitting a listing.
Apple limits the App Store keyword field to 100 characters total. Terms are separated by commas, and Apple recommends avoiding duplicate words, category names, the word app, and irrelevant or trademarked terms.
Apple allows up to 30 characters for the app name and up to 30 characters for the subtitle. The tool counts characters locally as you write.
Google Play currently lists a 30-character app name, an 80-character short description, and a 4,000-character full description. Google Play does not use a separate keyword field.
